Many costume sets can grant a wide range of bonuses when several pieces are worn together, such as EXP, strength against monsters, strength against Metin stones, item drop chance, critical hit, piercing hit and attack value.

What is a Metin2 costume set?

A costume set is formed when several pieces of equipment that belong to the same theme or set are worn together. A set can consist of a costume, a hair or headwear piece, a pet, a mount or, in some cases, different accessory pieces.

Once you wear every piece of the set, or at least the required number of pieces, the matching set bonuses can activate. That is why it is important to judge the total bonus the whole set provides rather than the bonus of a single costume piece.

Which bonuses can costume sets have?

The bonuses of costume sets vary from set to set. Across the sets in the database you can come across these types of bonuses in different combinations:

Take a close look at the pieces of a costume set

When you judge a costume set, knowing only the name of the set is not enough. You also need to check which pieces the set is made of.

That is how you find out exactly what a set consists of.

It then becomes much easier to work out which set you can complete with the pieces you already own.

Which costume set should you use?

The best costume set is not the same for every player. Different bonuses come to the front depending on what you need the set for.

  • If you are grinding EXP: look at the sets with a high EXP bonus.
  • If you are farming: bonuses such as item drop chance, strength against monsters and strength against Metin stones can be more important.
  • If you are killing bosses: compare attack power against bosses and the damage focused bonuses.
  • If you are breaking Metin stones: sets with strength against Metin stones and attack focused bonuses tend to suit you better.

So you should look not only at the total bonus of the set, but also at the advantage it gives you in the content you actually play.
